rename ed2k links automaticaly
 

Hello,

Im going to write this in english (as my german is nicht so gut).

I was wondering if I can remove keystrokes from links automatically. For example I click a link on downloadsite.com. Then the download will be>
example******.[downloadsite.com].avi

So if there would be a feature to remove keystrokes automatically from all the links you insert. I could put in '[downloadsite.com].' Then I would have clean links.

I know I can do mass-rename, which works sometimes. Sometimes not.

What do you guys think?

I don't remember which mod has it, but for example Xtreme has it:
Options -> Files -> Auto Clean Up Files....
Check it, and press Edit to add the Site/string you want to get cut!

You are right, I didnt see that feature! But now I still have a question about it;

When I check the box 'Auto cleanup file names of new downloads' it does not only cleanup the characters you put into 'list'. It also removes dots (.) , and it capitalizes the first letter of every word.

But I dont want the dots removed and I dont want every word to start with a capital letter. Is it possible to make this optional in a further release? Or is there something I can do to change this?

Using mass-rename would be the best choice... it works perfectly as long as you define the correct terms to remove/replace.

could you tell me how to use mass-rename again, I can not seem to find the the option anymore.. when i right click a file in emule 'shared files' it doesnt have the option mass-rename...
