also ich habe den MOD jetzt seit ein paar Tagen am laufen, nicht einen Absturz, 1 mal war die verbindung weg, aber das liegt nicht an dem MOD, hatte ich auch schon bei anderen.
der Upload sowie der Download sind ausgezeichnet, die Quellensuche ist ebenfalls spitze.

dieser MOD wird bei mir wohl wieder für lange Zeit halten müssen:

excuse me but I don't speak German..

I run eMule 0.42b [MFCK] V1a. Recently I get a lot of messages in the server's log saying:

ERROR while saving partfile: 018.part.met (*****) - Permission denied

happened on other few downloads as well

What is this message and why do I recieve it?

I have high ID + connected to KAD status open (both indicators are green )

What changed since it ran fine? Is it just that one file?
Did you change your user account to non-administrator privileges (assuming you are using Windows XP)? Is your hard drive offering enough space? Are your temp- and incoming-folders on a non-accessible location, i.e. system-folder, network drive?
Another explanation would be your hard drive going south, test and defrag it, to be sure.
You should also use a recent ipfilter.dat to avoid corruption from other clients.

I run 98SE with 6 gig free space on that drive, with write permission to the temp and incoming folders and it happens on more than one file while other part of same file download with no error..

I might take your advice and defrag, Thank you :)

Just to be on the safe side I'll make more space on that drive too

Will report and nag again if this doesn't improve.

I've deleted the download and started with another file ID and all went fine.
Must have been a bad resource or maybe even a bad file.

I would please like to ask another thing

I've upgraded to latest MFCK and I wanted to use Multiple Temporary Directories feature as explained in the features details and I don't know how :oops: :o

It says:
This feature allow the user to define more temporary directories for "part" files. They can be configured in preferences/directories.

but when I try to add a directory in the temporary files box it deletes the one I use now, instead of adding another directory

Can you please tell me how to do this?

I’ve tried the eMule0.42e MFCKv1b mod myself, and I came to the conclusion that there is not a function available to set up a second temp folder as you want. Maybe you are using a different Mod version?
If you used the same Version like me, than there is definitely not such a second Temp folder function.
